Old Road: How It Works

The Old Road activity focuses on your horse’s ability to pull a wagon, not on its speed. Endurance matters far more than speed here.

Endurance Requirements

To take part in an Old Road run, your horse must meet a minimum Endurance requirement.

  • In the early tiers, these requirements are deliberately low, allowing even basic horses to participate.

  • As you progress, the demands increase, making draft-oriented horses a better fit for higher tiers.

  • If your current horse does not meet the requirement, you won’t be able to travel to the Old Road location.

Bowls and Early Progression

Bowls, a key resource for pet progression, primarily drop from the Old Road activity.

In the early tiers, you can also earn additional bowls through Tracks rewards. This allows you to start developing your pets even before you have access to strong draft horses.

Location Flow and Quest Behavior

  • Enter the location

  • Accept the quest

  • Defend the wagon

Your horse is not permanently removed from your stable. Completing, failing, or leaving the quest does not affect horse ownership.

If you leave and re-enter the location while the quest is still active, it will fail, and the horse will be moved back to you.
