To tame a wild animal and turn it into a loyal pet, you’ll need a bait — a special item that lures animals and lets you start the taming process. Luckily, Vernon from the Nature Park knows all about it and will gladly help… if you bring him some pets in return.
Each time you tame and hand over a new animal, you’ll earn experience in bait crafting. The rarer and higher-tier the animal, the more experience you get. As you level up your bait knowledge, you unlock stronger versions of baits — which means access to more powerful pets.

Wolves, Lynxes, Pumas, and More
Each animal type — like wolves, lynxes, pumas, and bears — has five levels of bait. You start with the basic one, and as you gain experience, new levels unlock. The stronger the bait, the higher the max level of the pet you can tame:
Basic bait works for pets up to level 15.
With enough bait experience, you can craft baits for level 35, 65, 85, and even 105 pets.
The unlock system is the same for all core animals: Wolves, Lynxes, Alpha Wolves, Pumas, and Bears.
Boars and Coyotes
Boars and Coyotes currently have only one level of bait, and it’s unlocked from the start. They’re great entry-level pets and help you understand how baiting works.
Alligators
Want to tame a gator? It won’t be easy. The Alligator Bait is only unlocked once you’ve fully maxed out your knowledge in every other bait category. But it’s worth it — the alligator pet can reach up to level 105, making it one of the most powerful companions in the game.
