Want to make your Ranch self-sufficient? Start growing your own crops! Every cowboy has access to garden beds — small fields where you can plant useful seeds and grow ingredients for food, crafting, and even animal care.

Some seeds are available right from the start, while others require you to upgrade your Garden Bed to a higher level. The more advanced the plant, the better the reward.

Growing Crops

You’ll start with corn — it’s easy to grow and useful in cooking. Then comes wheat, a staple crop your chickens will love. Oats are great for your horse, and once your garden is upgraded, you can grow beans, cabbage, and even pumpkins for more advanced recipes.

Each crop grows over time and can be harvested to use in meals, animal feed, or to trade.

Growing Fiber Plants

Cloth, ropes, bags — all of these start with fiber, and you can grow your own right at home.

  • Nettle is the first fiber plant you’ll grow — simple but useful.

  • As your Ranch develops, you'll unlock jute, linen, cotton, and finally hemp — each one better than the last.

  • The higher the fiber quality, the better materials you can craft from it: stronger ropes, finer cloth, and sturdier clothes.

Just like with food crops, you’ll need to upgrade your garden bed to grow the more advanced fiber plants.

From Fiber to Fabric

Once harvested, fiber can be turned into cloth and rope:

  • Basic fiber makes simple cloth.

  • Jute and cotton produce stronger, everyday materials.

  • Linen and hemp are used in high-quality crafting for refined outfits, bags, and equipment.

So don’t underestimate those little green plants — they’re the backbone of your Ranch’s textile production!

Get your hands dirty, plant those seeds, and turn your Ranch into a thriving farm. Your future gear (and your chickens) will thank you.
